Lucas Hamming, born in 1993, is a young and talented singer/songwriter.
Hamming’s songwriting skills match the quality of his voice clear, direct and full of emotion. The songs sound much more adult than one might expect knowing his age. Not surprising, since the young man spoons up helpings of Bob Dylan, Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) and Jeff Buckley.
He picked up the guitar at the age of 11 and taught himself to play. 6 months after that he had his first gig. Today, 6 years later, he played in a sold out Royal Theater Carré (Amsterdam), is the leadsinger of the dutch indie rock band New Opti, wrote a soundtrack for the dutch movie “Lover or Loser” wich was presented in more than 30 cinemas and at the moment Lucas is writing and recording his Debut EP.
